Magic of Murano Glass
The art of Venetian glassmaking has ancient roots and is based on Roman and Byzantine knowledge. When it developed it was based in Venice, but for fear of fire, it was later decided that the artisan glassmakers moved to the island of Murano, and their workshops were concentrated in particular along the famous Rio dei Vetrai. Particular is the fact that unlike other areas where glass processing was widespread, that is, near the raw materials, Venice and Murano used materials that they imported from places even far away, such as wood that came from Dalmatia. To illustrate the importance of Venetian glass production, it is enough to think that master glassmakers also enjoyed a certain prestige in society: they were enrolled in the golden book of the Venetian patrician families and their daughters could marry the noble offspring. The Murano glassmakers also created crystal in 1450: a refined and valuable quality of glass that, synonymous with elegance, became in great demand in the courts. The refined productions of Murano were known worldwide and, in the eighteenth century, (the time of decline of the Serenissima) were widely requested by the courts of the nobles of the Baroque period, who particularly appreciated the variety of roses: a peculiar milk-white glass that, for its color, well matched the furniture of the time. Today the Murano glassworks, despite maintaining its traditions intact, is probably one of the Italian artisan realities most closely linked to design and contemporary art.
Murano Glass tiles and decors are not just a material but the soul of Venetian culture and tradition.

GONDOLA
boat-shaped Murano glass centerpiece
The Venetian gondola is considered one of the most beautiful boats in the world and is the universal symbol of the city of Venice. The beauty of the gondola is given by the sinuous and elegant line, the wonderful environment in which it moves, but also by its unique construction.
Very common in Venice, it is a flat-bottomed boat, perfect for the shallow waters of the Venetian lagoon. Once used for fishing, today it is used for transporting people, for sightseeing, and sometimes for regattas. Inspired by this well-known Venetian boat, our glass masters create this elegant centerpiece in Murano glass with charming Venetian colors.
"Gondola" is a boat-shaped centerpiece performed with the mosaic technique using opaque and transparent Murano glass, entirely handmade. Very small pieces of multicolored glass squares or colored opaque glass rods are meticulously cut and joined together. The color combinations are sometimes mixed with gold or silver leaf or with aventurine glass or with Venetian murrina beads or with colored filigree.
The "Gondola" decorative patterns enhance the beauty of Murano glass, its material, its transparency and the infinite combination of colors. This boat-shaped centerpiece is simply a beautiful Venetian touch to your home décor and fits well in any interior.

During the torrid summer days, to escape from the deadly heat and the traffic jams that characterize the city in this period, Venetians allow themselves a pleasant break from the Venetian heat. The ideal place for a nice bath or a relaxing walk at sunset, especially after a beautiful sunny day, are the natural beaches of Lido and Alberoni.
This is a quiet place, a real refuge from the tourist chaos that gives the atmosphere of a Venetian village of olden days. It seems to be back a bit in time and at the same time to live with more relax and serenity, typical of island life. The protected oasis and the high dunes make this typical and curious place an unmissable point of the island.
Inspired by the waves of sea water and undulating land, our glass masters dedicate this centerpiece to the sea and to the beaches of Lido and Alberoni.
The process to create this centerpiece is very complex and laborious. Realized with the glass fusing technique using opaque and transparent Murano glass, it is performed entirely by hand. It is an elegant object that will fit well in any modern interior.

OCEANO
Murano glass wall art decoration
The ocean is enchanting for the richness of its backdrops and indispensable for many vital forms, including preys and predators. The shoal formation is an effective and smart defense mechanism against predators, who are fooled and disoriented by the immense clouds of prey: in the midst of the group they do not know who to hit.
This wonderful Murano glass panel that tells the fascinating underwater life with a school of fish in brightly colored shades of the sea will not go unnoticed. This remembers the emotions the ocean offers with its depth and colors.
The procedure for creating this Murano glass panel is very complex and laborious. The glass processing technique is performed entirely by hand. In this design, small glass fish and glass grits are meticulously placed on an aquamarine glass plate. Subsequently, the plate is installed on a backlit support, showing a school of fish in the ocean.
